The single that started it all... Preceded by the buzz track 'Shook (The Answer)', Unpredictable was the song that catapulted the Keshia we know and love to Canadian stardom as Canada's R+B sweetheart.

WORLD PREMIERE: "I MISS U" MUSIC VIDEO

Evening #KCRyders! Feeling like a proud big sis right now. This is video that we as #KCRyders have been waiting for. It doesn't need an introduction, but we're pleased to present to you the newest music video from our girl Keshia Chante, "I Miss U" Directed by Marc Andre Debruyne (Shooting Star, Set U Free). It premiered today on Much Music's New.Music.Live. where KC also judged a dance contest as well.

As far as this latest cinematic masterpiece from Ms. Chante? In essence you'll get to see what a day in the life of her is really like, and cameos from all of those close to her whether it be family, friends and most importantly her special guy. The concept is simplistic, but it's carried out extremely well, and I'm proud to say that this is the best video Keshia's ever made in her entire career. NEW VIDEO: BTS "I MISS U" MUSIC VIDEO DAY 2

Good Morning #KCRyders! Oh you're in for a real treat! A new "Behind The Scenes" video has surfaced for KC's new music video "I Miss U" which features a host of familiar faces, family and friends that KC's acquired through her career & life over the years: Her Aunt Chantel (she was in the BTS of Set U Free if you look closely), her two cousins Michelle & Jess, her best friend Daniel (@djonesproducer), her long time manager and friend Jen Hyland (@jenhyland) make cameo appearances in this second half of a two-part series.

In true Tanjola style, of course the video for the second day of her video shoot was released first before day one, something a bit similar to when KC shot the video for "Test Drive" back in 2010 and hadn't released the single yet. lol Either way, according to KC major props go to Antoine Biko (@AntoineBiko) for capturing this inside look because he created the amazing BTS video you'll see below. Hopefully KC & Tanjola keep Mr. Antonie on the roster from here on out regarding her BTS videos from here on out. The short visual is a clean, consistent video and it looks like a mini documentary of KC's life. #Winning!






And don't forget that KC will be performing the single for the first time on Breakfast Television Edmonton this morning! The full music video premieres on Thursday, May 24th, 2012 on Much Music on New.Music.Live.

WATCH: NIGHT & DAY ALBUM COMMERCIAL

Blink, and you'll miss it. Evening #KCRyders! It's been a long time coming for the album commercial for KC's new album to be posted here on LKC. We checked in with our #KCRyder & #KCRST Member @JaneRepsU for verification on if this was the actual commercial and she says that low and behold it is the official "Night & Day" commercial.

To be honest, was expecting some live shots, kind of like how Rihanna did with the commercial for her album "LOUD" (excuse me for comparing...) because to our knowledge wasn't KC shooting a commercial for her album? Maybe I misread this back in March:

If you were expecting something ground breaking & breathtakingly epic, you won't find that here. But for what it's worth at least she has a commercial out there, and you can't fault her label for actually trying. So they get kudos for the effort, after all it is promo, and that's what KC deserves & needs.

However, on to bigger news! This week keep your eyes peeled, word on the street is the music video for #IMissU is supposed to be released this week, with some kind of teaser. If word is true, it'd be a week before schedule... For now, enjoy the commercial!

NEW INTERVIEW: B101 INTERVIEWS KESHIA CHANTE FOR YTV'S THE NEXT STAR & MORE!

Good Morning #KCRyders! Hope you all are having a great Saturday! Today is the kick off for "The Next Star" city-wide search for YTV's "The Next Star", beginning in Halifax, Novia Scotia! (SN: Happy Belated Birthday to KC's co-judge, Tara Oram!)

To promote the show, KC called into Barrie's B101, this past thursday (April 26th) to chat it up with DJ Chris, about starting her career in her early teens much like the hopefuls on the show "The Next Star" Season 5 will be. She also chatted about her duties as a "Next Star" judge, gave her personal advice on how to do your best at auditions as well as chatted on the infamous question about her friendship with Rap sensation, Drake, otherwise known to her and loyal Degrassi viewers by his given name, Aubrey Graham.

She also said that she expects the music video for her current single, "I Miss U" to drop next week, (A week earlier than originally scheduled...) and says that it has a personal an imitate story-line attached to it, and that it's the most open she's ever been in a music video. KC QUICK NEWS: KC AWARDED A MuchFACT FOR "I MISS U"

Morning #KCRyders! Shoutout to our boy iSH [actor (KC's televison co-star on SOUL) & rapper] for the info. He tweeted to Keshia on yesterday the following:

congrats to my tv sister @KeshiaChante for the muchfact! Much love!

Of course had to do a little research and so upon doing said research I found out that Keshia was awarded what's called a MuchFACT, an award to help assist with the production of the music video for her new single "I Miss U". This is a great award, and thus it'll result in a quality music video, not leaving the funding solely on her label Tanjola. Clearly it's a God-send so, I now understand a lot more why Keshia taps Canadian resources to use for her videos because look at the funding Canada offers to support its own! Even so I hope that she enlists a director from the states at least once because she deserves a Melina-Anthony Mandler- Collin Tilley directed video as much as the next person.

Keshia is among one of 54 recipients of the award. Congrats to Keshia & Tanjola! Can't wait to see the video treatment!

WORLD PREMIERE: "SHOOTING STAR" MUSIC VIDEO

A little over two hours ago, Tanjola Brands (Keshia's label) unveiled the music video for "Shooting Star" today Tuesday August 23rd. During the "Access Granted" provided by Metro Lyrics a few weeks ago, Keshia, Metro Lyrics & Team Keshia/Team Chante invited #KCRyders to watch a behind the scenes look at the music video being made right before our eyes. Keshia said that video concept itself was of an "underground dance world" and about "paying tribute to her dancers" who are in her words "Shooting Stars". And that's exactly what you get. Shooting Star's music video primarily focuses on the dancers in the video and not Keshia herself, aside from a few glamour shots and a small inkling of dancing from Keshia, that's all you'll really see of her. Look wise, you'll see a revamped version of the B-Girl from her most popular single and video among KC fans alike, "Been Gone", with a black trademark hoodie and capri's. In place of her sneakers? Classy Louboutins. The dancers in this video definitely steal the spotlight in a big way, so enjoy the "underground world" created specifically for them as Keshia pays homage and paints a picture of "no struggle, no progress" through her invigorating and empowering lyrics.

Today, Keshia dropped by New.Music.Live to premiere the video which was shot in Isla Mujeres, Cancun Mexico in early June (post her trip to Kenya with CANFAR). She also performed a live version of Set U Free, complete with new choreography, and dancers as well as her next single titled, "Shooting Star" which is rumored to be produced by the amazing Vic Park and premieres tomorrow. THROWBACK: Get To Know You - Belly ft. KC [Fan Made]

When this song came out around the 2008 Junos as a promo single, I decided that I wanted to make a "music video" to it. A few Belly videos, and a splash of Miami from Keshia's video '2U' was the outcome of the fan made music video. Fan Made music videos are normally made when fans want or desire for a song or single for an artist to become a single. The song could be just on the album, or it could be just a song that happened to leak. Either way, I LOVED Keshia's vocals on this song and really wish it would have become a single. So enjoy this little fun video I made. I'm working on a new one as I type this. ~ Cassie

WORLD PREMIERE: TABLE DANCER MUSIC VIDEO

Introducing the world premiere of Keshia Chante's new music video, 'Table Dancer'! The highly anticipated music video premiere official via her facebook, and Vevo page only hours ago; a day earlier than originally anticipated. You can check out all the table dancin' action and KC's alter-ego "Chante", deliver up an interesting twist on the club number as she dons several styled blond wigs, and whips her hair on a table at downtown Toronto's Ultra Supper Club amongst a sea of bow-tied & black clad dancers. See how many Pepsi-related items you can spot in the video! If you didn't know, Keshia is the new spokesperson for Pepsi Canada. A major step up from her viral music video, 'Test Drive' the comfort-zone that Keshia previous set for her previous two albums was definitely broken; and in a good way. Although the video isn't groundbreaking, it's the best video that Keshia has done career wise, curious as to why she's not really smiling but other wise, a solid effort.  Peep the video below.
