NEW PICS: KC CELEBRATES HER 24TH BIRTHDAY

This past weekend our girl KC celebrated her 24th birthday on June 16th, 2012, complete with a one of a kind custom made cake in the style of a classic Channel purse! She also shares her birthday with that of rap legend Tupac Shakur of whom she's stated since her early years, inspired and influenced her. She's also a huge fan of his music as well. As far as this years birthday celebration went, she had a laid back and intimate party at home with close friends and family meticulously planned by her bf Ray Emery (Chicago Blackhawks goalie) and you can view several photos from the event posted by KC and friends via Instagram.

NEW INTERVIEW: B101 INTERVIEWS KESHIA CHANTE FOR YTV'S THE NEXT STAR & MORE!

Good Morning #KCRyders! Hope you all are having a great Saturday! Today is the kick off for "The Next Star" city-wide search for YTV's "The Next Star", beginning in Halifax, Novia Scotia! (SN: Happy Belated Birthday to KC's co-judge, Tara Oram!)

To promote the show, KC called into Barrie's B101, this past thursday (April 26th) to chat it up with DJ Chris, about starting her career in her early teens much like the hopefuls on the show "The Next Star" Season 5 will be. She also chatted about her duties as a "Next Star" judge, gave her personal advice on how to do your best at auditions as well as chatted on the infamous question about her friendship with Rap sensation, Drake, otherwise known to her and loyal Degrassi viewers by his given name, Aubrey Graham.

She also said that she expects the music video for her current single, "I Miss U" to drop next week, (A week earlier than originally scheduled...) and says that it has a personal an imitate story-line attached to it, and that it's the most open she's ever been in a music video. You can hear all of this and more by listening to the interview below:

RANDOM: LKC CELEBRATES 2 YEARS ONLINE!

Happy 2-Year Anniversary to us! Two years ago today, on January 31st, 2010, LuvKC was launched, in support of our girl Canadian R&B Princess Kesha Chante (@KeshiaChante)! We've accomplished a lot in our two years of existance, and we have so much more to do!

Today the R&B songstress Aaliyah Dana Haughton would have been 33. Keshia's always sighted Aaliyah as a personal inspiration on of hers musically, and so, thus that being said... In honor of Aaliyah's Birthday on today, watch our girl Keshia cover an Aaliyah Haughton classic, "One In A Million" from the album of the same name. Happy Birthday Aaliyah!

WATCH: KC PERFORMS 'BAD BOY' + 'SET U FREE' AT LIGHT ULTRA MONTREAL

For those of you that may have missed KC at Light Ultra Club - Montreal last night #KCRyder starbursts29 uploaded LQ video footage from her performance last night. You can watch her performances of the popular crossover hit "Bad Boy" and her summer anthem, "Set U Free". She also surprises her Uncle Marty (who's in the audience) by having the crowd join in on impromptu rendition of singing "Happy Birthday".
