WORLD PREMIERE: "SHOOTING STAR" MUSIC VIDEO

A little over two hours ago, Tanjola Brands (Keshia's label) unveiled the music video for "Shooting Star" today Tuesday August 23rd. During the "Access Granted" provided by Metro Lyrics a few weeks ago, Keshia, Metro Lyrics & Team Keshia/Team Chante invited #KCRyders to watch a behind the scenes look at the music video being made right before our eyes. Keshia said that video concept itself was of an "underground dance world" and about "paying tribute to her dancers" who are in her words "Shooting Stars". And that's exactly what you get. Shooting Star's music video primarily focuses on the dancers in the video and not Keshia herself, aside from a few glamour shots and a small inkling of dancing from Keshia, that's all you'll really see of her. Look wise, you'll see a revamped version of the B-Girl from her most popular single and video among KC fans alike, "Been Gone", with a black trademark hoodie and capri's. In place of her sneakers? Classy Louboutins. The dancers in this video definitely steal the spotlight in a big way, so enjoy the "underground world" created specifically for them as Keshia pays homage and paints a picture of "no struggle, no progress" through her invigorating and empowering lyrics.

KC QUICK NEWS #6: N&D NEWS, SHOOTING STAR UPDATES, & BET

We've been on the quiet side because all has been silent in KC-ville but a recent break in silence finally provided us with much needed updates of which you can check out below. The most important of those being Keshia's new album Night & Day AND the video she recently shot for her newest single entitled, "Shooting Star" read on below to find out the scoop:

Night & Day Update

We honestly feel your pain when it comes to waiting for Keshia's album #KCRyders and we here at LKC know just how much you're anticipating it. If you've recently read KC's What Women Want interview that Keshia both tweeted & posted about on her Facebook & Twitter page that was posted August 14th, you'll find that at the end of this posed question: Take us along the path (personal & professional) that took you where you are today. That Keshia states her album will be dropping next year. According to her Team Keshia, the next year that Keshia is speaking of in her interview is 2011. Team Keshia informed us that the What Women Want Interview took place in November of 2010, not recently as assumed. Interesting enough, Keshia's team also told us at LKC that Keshia's album is scheduled to sometime drop this fall. But we can't reveal the release date yet, so sit tight.

Shooting Star Updates

In anticipation for the release of her new single, Keshia posted two screen caps from her newest music video "Shooting Star" on her official Facebook page and Twitter. The music video is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday August 23rd, 2011. She also tweeted that Shooting Star was sent to Canadian radio yesterday (August 19).

KC on BET?

For those of you that have been diligently tweeting the VEVO link for KC's "Set U Free" video to BET, GMA and other news and video outlets it's been greatly appreciated. According to a recent tweet by Keshia, they've handed in a music video, no word on which music video it was they sent to BET, but the fact that through your hard work, we as #KCRyders have nearly accomplished a common goal, which is to help KC break into the US market with a bang! Keep up the great work on tweeting BET, GMA,  Today Show, Centric VH1, and MTV, we wanna see Ms. Keshia everywhere!

RECAP: "SHOOTING STAR" LIVE STREAM (VIA METRO LYRICS)

In case you missed it on yesterday, our girl Keshia Chante was on set shooting her new music video for her new single "Shooting Star". Metro Lyrics was kind enough to give Keshia's #KCRyders live stream at the amazing new music video which will be out in a few weeks. The video concept itself is based on an "Underground Danceworld" where KC pays homage to all the dancers out there who are #ShootingStars. She also reverts back to a vintage KC look, B-Girl Style! You'll note in the video that she dons, her trademark, hoodie & capri's simliar to those in her "Been Gone" video, but that's only one look of the many that KC shot on yesterday. Unless you've been living under a rock lately, then you already know that Canadian songstress Keshia Chante recently released her new single, "Shooting Star" which is the follow up to the summer smash, "Set U Free". "Shooting Star" is laced with a heavy guitar with bright and uplifting lyrics that motivate, and lightly take a jab at her haters.
