#THROWBACK: KESHIA CHANTE'S ROGERS TV INTERVIEW (2005)

Morning #KCRyders and Happy Saturday! Here's a great flashback interview for you all! In this interview Keshia has just recently celebrated the excitement of winning her first Juno Award (A Canadian Grammy) for Best R+B Soul Recording of the Year for her debut album "Keshia Chante", she was the youngest recipient at age 15. You can watch her full interview and hear more about her thoughts on the music industry, how she stayed focused on the music and not the naysayers, and also hear her speak about her first and only musical influence (then) TuPac Shakur.

THROWBACK THURSDAY: 'UNPREDICTABLE' MUSIC VIDEO

The single that started it all... Preceded by the buzz track 'Shook (The Answer)', Unpredictable was the song that catapulted the Keshia we know and love to Canadian stardom as Canada's R+B sweetheart.



Fun Facts about 'Unpredictable':

• Keshia was 14 when the music video was shot
• The music video was shot in 22 Hours  
• 'Unpredictable' contains an interpolated melody from the 1996 TuPac classic, 'I Ain't Mad at Cha'. 
• 'Unpredictable' was One-Song deal.The label also shot a video for this record as well.
•  The success or failure of this record would depend on if she would gain an album deal.
• Tupac + KC share the same birthday, June 16th
• Keshia has sited Tupac as one of her musical icons growing up
• Unpredictable ended up being #1 on video and radio charts on both Much Music and YTV's Hit list, securing Keshia an album deal for her self-titled album, 'Keshia Chante'

NEW PICS: KC CELEBRATES HER 24TH BIRTHDAY

This past weekend our girl KC celebrated her 24th birthday on June 16th, 2012, complete with a one of a kind custom made cake in the style of a classic Channel purse! She also shares her birthday with that of rap legend Tupac Shakur of whom she's stated since her early years, inspired and influenced her. She's also a huge fan of his music as well. As far as this years birthday celebration went, she had a laid back and intimate party at home with close friends and family meticulously planned by her bf Ray Emery (Chicago Blackhawks goalie) and you can view several photos from the event posted by KC and friends via Instagram.
