Keshia Chante's Vlog: Balancing Love and Relationships.

"It's really hard for two people to have a crazy, hectic schedule. And for there to be a lot of pressure publicly and we're both performers. He performs. I perform. In different ways. It can be really difficult and something always have to give, right? I can do my career til I'm old. I can be eighty. I can have a record label, sign artists. I can always be in the music industry, or I can always be singing. Look at Madonna! You can sing forever. Right? But for him, within hockey you can only do hockey for so long. You can only actually play on a team for so long.

So I think something's gotta give. And even though I like to balance career and love, I think there has to be priority at the end of the day. There's always gotta be that one thing that you're always go to and I always pick family. I always pick him. I always pick whatever, wherever he is I go. I gotta turn down certain opportunities so that I have time to stay at home. It's important! Most people, you know it's like "9-5", "Monday-Friday", And you guys are both working the same hours at the same time.

But because we're so different, I have to make a point to make sure it works. He can't control his schedule, but I can. So I'm the one that's gotta give. It's very hard for two people to have crazy careers to make it work. But I think that you can if you're both paying attention to what's going on, you spend a lot of quality time with each other and you communicate."

Hey #KCRyders! A few days ago, Hockey Wives uploaded a new interview featuring Keshia to their website shot last year. In her VLOG she talks about being an only child growing up, and how she learned to overcome depression along with bonding and developing friendships with her fellow Hockey Wives in the midst of being away from her bf Ray Emery (NHL Goalie - Philadelphia Flyers). Believe it or not, depression is pretty common and a few years ago, Keshia made a post about the Winter Blues stating just that. But it's a great thing to see that she's found a good group of friends to bond with.

The Season Premiere of  YTV's hit series 'The Next Star' Season 6, aired this past Monday! On that day (July 15th, 2013), Chris of Barrie's Hit Music station B101 chatted via phone with our girl, Canadian princess, Ms. Keshia Chante. NEW INTERVIEW: B101 INTERVIEWS KESHIA CHANTE FOR YTV'S THE NEXT STAR & MORE!

Good Morning #KCRyders! Hope you all are having a great Saturday! Today is the kick off for "The Next Star" city-wide search for YTV's "The Next Star", beginning in Halifax, Novia Scotia! (SN: Happy Belated Birthday to KC's co-judge, Tara Oram!)

To promote the show, KC called into Barrie's B101, this past thursday (April 26th) to chat it up with DJ Chris, about starting her career in her early teens much like the hopefuls on the show "The Next Star" Season 5 will be. She also chatted about her duties as a "Next Star" judge, gave her personal advice on how to do your best at auditions as well as chatted on the infamous question about her friendship with Rap sensation, Drake, otherwise known to her and loyal Degrassi viewers by his given name, Aubrey Graham.

She also said that she expects the music video for her current single, "I Miss U" to drop next week, (A week earlier than originally scheduled...) and says that it has a personal an imitate story-line attached to it, and that it's the most open she's ever been in a music video. In case you missed it, KC was on CP24 Breakfast earlier this morning (along with Jarvis Church) to talk about their upcoming performances at the #RenewTheWorld Gala on tonight as well as the contributions that Canadian Scientists have made in the discovery of Stell Cells (having been first discovered by Canadians), and Stem Cell Research. Tonight's #RenewTheWorld Gala at the Mercedes Benz-Midtown in Toronto, Canada is dedicated to their hard work and accomplishments. It is also celebration in hopes that more people will be helped and more discoveries regarding Stem Cell research will be made. Good morning #KCRyders and a blessed Christmas season to you on this Christmas Eve! In this newly posted newspaper interview, The Ottawa Citizen sat down with our girl Ottawa-Native and Canadian songtress Keshia Chante, and talked about juggling her busy working life with boyfriend Chicago Blackhawks goalie, Ray Emery. For the first time ever in an interview she approaches the topic of marriage, not that she's getting married, but that it's something that the couple have been thinking about. For Keshia Chanté, life is a balancing act.

The 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Ottawa is constantly on the go, juggling a schedule that doesn’t just include performing songs of her recently released third album, titled Night and Day. She also models, acts and works as an ambassador for the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR).

And she still manages to find time in her busy schedule to maintain a relationship with her boyfriend of almost two years, former Ottawa Senators goaltender Ray Emery.

“Our communication is key,” says Chanté of her and Emery’s relationship. “Our understanding of where we want our relationship to go is always on the same page.”

Emery is currently playing with the Chicago Blackhawks. With Chanté living in Toronto and Emery based out of Chicago, and two busy and often conflicting schedules thrown in the mix, it would seem the couple would rarely find time to see each other.

“But we make it work,” says Chanté.
