Ray Emery Brings The Stanley To His Hometown of Cayuga

 This weekend our girl Keshia Chante took some time out with NHL BF Ray Emery (Now, once again #29 of the Philadelphia Flyers... Congrats Ray!) to help him celebrate the Chicago Blackhawk 2013 Stanley Cup victory. Ray had the chance to take the Stanley Cup back home, and he took it to his hometown of Cayuga in Canada.

RANDOM: "I MISS U" NEXT SINGLE?

Hey #Ryders! This has NOT been confirmed. This is simply a post about me and my suspicions and research via twitter and other social media outlets. Over the past couple days, namely on last week I saw word of Keshia's song "I Miss U", #10 on Night & Day and also produced by Vic Park announced by radio station 97.3The Wave. Then on today, mysteriously the instrumental leaks to twitter...

Here is why I think Keshia and her label, as well as radio should go with "If U Say" vs "I Miss U"

• Initially "If U Say" was supposed to be the fourth single after "Set U Free", which totally screwed up the marketing plan when it was scrapped last fall for yet another dance single, "Shooting Star"
• Keshia's been on several "Night & Day" promo stops performing "If U Say" already (UniCommunity Tour, Breakfast TV, Canada AM) and thus her fan base in general will receive it and request it because it's been noted internet-wide as a "fan favorite". 

The most logical move in the era would be for KC to release "If U Say" vs "I Miss U" as a single, while a nice, song and single worthy, right now to me wouldn't be the best time to release it.

"If U Say" has already gotten an establish buzz via Singersroom.com with a exceptional feedback on every blog and or website it's been posted on. Why not go with the flow of the fans and what the general public is showing you?

Tack on "Hang My Jersey Up" as the B-Side to that single and she'll be a shoe in for MMVA's this year and Junos 2013, if they come through with a logical and sensible video treatment. Tweet what you think @luvkcfansite we wanna hear from you!

ALBUM NEWS: KESHIA CHANTE'S 3RD ALBUM NIGHT & DAY OUT NOW!!!

After a 4-5 year hiatus, Keshia Chante has returned to the music scene with her 3rd album, "Night And Day" the follow up to her sophomore album '2U'. RANDOM: Night & Day Alternate Album Cover Revealed!!!

Good Morning #KCRyders! Hope you're having a great Sunday! Also, hope you didn't forget to set you clocks back an hour! lol (Fall back...) Earlier this morning Keshia revealed to her fans via her official twitter @KeshiaChante the amazingly beautiful alternate cover for the "Day" side of her album which is inside of the album booklet you'll receive upon purchasing the new album on Tuesday, November 8th, 2011.

RANDOM: KESHIA CHANTE'S NIGHT + DAY ALBUM COVER LEAKED!!!

Yep, this much is true. For those of you that have been RSVPing to the KC Countdown for the Virtual Facebook Album Release party for Keshia Chante's "Night And Day" due out November 8th of this year; it's out! One overzealous reciever of an early copy of the album decided to tweet a photo of the mini-pack that she recieved from Keshia. If you want to wait to see the album cover, then we suggest that you don't look, however if your curiosity has gotten the best of you, feel free to read on to view the very lackluster album cover.

Kiss 92.5's SPRING IT ON w/ Mike Posner

After only a few days of Keshia being at Kiss 92.5 Toronto, Kiss 92.5 has just announced its list of performers for its annual SPRING IT ON event. Keshia Chante has JUST been added among the list of scheduled performers today! It has now been classified as an all ages event! So if you're in the Toronto area, you can bring out the whole family and have a blast. SPRING IT ON will be at the Sound Academy on April 1st, 2011! Night & Day: 6 Weeks Until Completion
New developments in the progression of Keshia's highly anticipated 3rd Album, Night & Day. Keshia tweeted today that the countdown has officially begun on the finalization stages of the album. At this point and time, it's projected that it will see a Late Spring- Early Summer release. Keshia's is presently at the studio recording as you read this.

 Keshia had a fitting with world-renown New York designer Romona Keveza (known for her innovative glamorous Evening Wear & Wedding Gowns) on Tuesday of this week for her dress for the upcoming Junos. A lot of designers have been tweeting about having submitted dresses to Keshia for the star-studded event that is sure to have all of Hollywood talking. You've got time to set your DVR in advance #KCRyders! Hopefully this is a full segment and not a :30 second quick-clip. I'd be very disappointed.

QUICK NEWS: KC takes LA!

Check out this adorable photo of Ms. Keshia aka  'Chante Minnie' at Disneyland today with none other than Minnie Mouse herself!  Fun fact is that Keshia absolutely adores the Disney character Minnie Mouse, and hense the nickname, 'Chante Minnie' among other reasons. lol

This weekend after bringing down the house in Toronto, for Contiki's Eurobash Part II, Keshia flew to the states and divided her time between work and play. On last night she attended an Oscar party and also attended a few Anaheim Ducks games in support of her boyfriend Ray Emery. She just recently met the legendary, Teemu Selianne a fellow team member as well, only hours ago.

Today Keshia revealed via twitter that her official website, after undergoing some extra tweaking and work on her album today, KeshiaChante.Com will finally launch on tomorrow (March 1st, 2011). And, not only that the highly anticipated 2nd single to be lifted from her 3rd album, "Night & Day",  'Set U Free' will finally hit I-Tunes (CA).

FIRST LOOK: Set U Free/If U Say Single Cover

Introducing the official single cover for Keshia's next two singles, 'Set U Free' and 'If U Say'! How's that for a Valentine's Day gift KC fans? Keshia gifted her fans the single cover shot by Rayan Studios a few hours ago, and it looks absolutely stunning! According to Keshia, the single 'Set U Free' is an upbeat club number similar to the sounds of KC's Candaian hit, 'Table Dancer' and penned by none other than Taio Cruz, with vintage Janet Jackson influences. 'If U Say' is a great heartfelt ballad that Keshia penned herself and produced by the hitmakers VicPark,  which Keshia debuted on her Ustream last year on World Aids Day. The final version of this single has been revamped with new vocals. Also, Keshia stated via twitter that she and the team are working hard to re-open her official website KeshiaChante.Com later on this week. Stay tuned for more updates coming your way.

LKC EXCLUSIVE: Table Dancer Video Shoot Update & Misc.

 Table Dancer's video will now be shot on Saturday, Oct 23rd! Sounds like the magical dream place for the shoot has been secured and we can't wait to see the final outcome! As you know, tomorrow starts a crazy hectic week in the world of Toronto Fashion where the LG Fashion Week will kick off (Oct 18th-22nd). We know for certain that KC will be in attendance at at least two of the shows this week. She will also be a part of the Dare To Wear Love fashion show on this friday October 22nd. Chante Season has only just begun so please be patient! I-Tunes will have Table Dancer & Test Drive available in the following weeks for purchase outside of Canada in the upcoming weeks. NEWS: KC Covers Sway Magazine + Speaks on 'Night + Day'

We were the first to break to you the news about Keshia's upcoming album entitled, 'Night + Day' and Keshia spoke to Sway Magazine about a lot of things that you can expect from her new album. “It’s pretty much my diary; it’s all very personal stuff,” says Chanté of her new album, Night & Day, slated for release in Spring 2011. Known for dance pop and romantic ballads, Chanté’s upcoming release is a dual disk that includes her well known signature sound, along with new organic elements that display her evolution as an artist.

The first official single and video is “Table Dancer,” but a video for “Test Drive” will also be released virally at the same time. “It’s a singles world and I’d like to release three singles in a row, work them hard and see what comes back before I get into working the full album. We’ll see how it goes.”

 The ever-present Drake connection can be speculated with “Dead to Me,” but Chanté denies that it’s about him. “Oh no,” she says. “Drake is very dear to me and remains a good friend. We’re steadily in touch but given our schedules, don’t actually meet up that much.” Chanté indicates the scheduling problem was part of the issue in forming a relationship with Drake when the pair started dating as 15-year-olds. “It was more like puppy love. We tried to have a relationship but the timing wasn’t the best. Plus, we were so young. It’s probably for the best we didn’t have a serious relationship back then.”

Our radiant princess seems to be feeling a lot better, she recently just posted several new blogs on some recent events, like her summer vacation, the TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival), as well as her experience at Toronto's LG Fashion Week she attended back in Febuaray-March. You can read all about this and more on KC's official website: www.keshiachante.com. And don't worry, the layout is only temporary. Her newly revamped layout for both her official website and her myspace are going to be revamped here in the next week by none other than Harmonic Concepts, so expect great things.

- Single Release
We've already tweeted about this on twitter well in advance, but we figured we might as well post it here. Keshia's new singles, 'Test Drive' and 'Table Dancer' will be released simultaneously, for Canadian radio on the week of October 5th. Post-Canadaian release, her singles will be release in the US a week or so after, and then go for release internationally. As we told you previous, Keshia will be shooting the video for 'Table Dancer' in October, which will be directed by none other than famed Canadian director, RT! Chante Season is in full swing starting October 2010.

- Ustream Broadcast
Yes, we did inform you all that Keshia is Ustreaming. As of now we do not know when the date of her Ustream has been reschedule for. It was supposed to be last Friday, but unfortuantely KC fell ill and things like that do happen. We were told that it may be set for this week, and we will keep you posted. That is why it is good to follow us on Twitter. However, here is some what you can expect when the Ustream date is secured and locked in:

- Introduction to the new singles, "Table Dancer" and "Test Drive" BEFORE they hit radio.
- A Q&A for whatever questions you might have

We know that you as KC fans have some burning questions about KC's upcoming project. We're here to give you the answers as promised!


What's KC's new project going to be called?
 It's official, KC's 3rd Album will now be titled, "Night & Day" as apposed to the recent title, "The Vendetta". Her new album will be the product of a two-disk produced effort, "Night" being one side of the project with 6 uptempo club records, the other being "Day" with 6 midtempo R&B tracks. Keshia's label will be releasing two singles at once, 'Table Dancer' being the single from 'Night', 'Test Drive' being the single from 'Day'.

When will "Test Drive" be released as a single?
Keshia's label Universal is looking towards the end of September for radio and I-Tunes adds in Canada. A massive Global release will occur a few weeks after for the US, ect. No concrete date as of yet but the end of September is the projected time.

What's up next for KC while we wait for the release of 'Test Drive'?
We recently posted about a photoshoot KC tweeted on for Canada's, Sway Magazine's 'Powerful Women' issue. The magazine will be hitting stands in October. We also said that KC was going to be shooting a video for her second single really soon. The video for the second single, confirmed to be 'Table Dancer' (which KC previewed along with "Jersey Up" on her 1st Ustream broadcast) will be shot in October as well! KC will also be attending the BELL Gala, and attending October's Toronto LG Fashion Week.

As we obtain more info on Keshia's upcoming project, "Night & Day" we will post it right here on LKC.

We heard from a valid source that KC's interviews from last week on the set of 'Test Drive' will be airing sometime this week. ETalk CTV's is supposed to air today sometime and E Canada's will air later on within the week. Are you excited? We are! That means we finally get to hear the single, even if it is just in snippet mode.

Video for 'Test Drive' to be shot this Friday

We've already tweeted this a few hours ago on twitter, but here is a re-up. For those of you who missed it,   KC's recently tweeted  confirmation on the subject matter of her new video. We found out by a vaild source yesterday the video for 'Test Drive' will be shot on this Friday. The video will be directed by Bobby O'Neill (2U) and produced by The Field. The quote via The Field's official website sums it up with the following concept: Bobby O'neill connects with Keshia Chante in a captivating story about cars and boys.
If you weren't already vamped for the return of Chante Season, get ready. 'Test Drive' will be hitting the airwaves of your radio station shortly after.

• Update: (7/31) KC just tweeted that album photoshoot #1 takes place tomorrow. The second shoot will take place next week and the music video for 'Test Drive' will be shot in two weeks! Who's ready for the takeover?
•  Update: (7/27) Correction on the lead single's producer. Jen, KC's manager confirmed to us that 'Test Drive' was also produced by VicPark, who also produced "Hang My Jersey Up". And she also, let us in on a little secret. Bobby ONeill the director of '2U' from KC's sophomore album will be shooting the video for 'Test Drive' next month! The video will be produced by The Field who we mentioned below. Thanks for the insight Jen!
•  Update: (7/27) According to The Field (A Full-Service Music Video Production Company) they will be shooting KC's video for Test Drive next month! They tweeted:  Getting excited for the Down with Webster, Blake McGrath, Wintersleep, and Keshia Chante shoots coming up in the next month! Keep your eyes peeled!
• Update:  (7/25) KC tweeted that she & the team are scouting locations for the album photoshoot as well as locations for "Test Drive"'s music video. Exciting stuff!
• Both KC and Jen Hyland her manager tweeted on twitter about KC and her upcoming album. She's set to shoot the video for the first single off her third album for "Test Drive" (Produced by VicPark) ) really soon, and she's also doing another photoshoot for her album. 
• Some other interesting news is that she's no longer signed to Sony BMG/Epic as she was for her first two albums, but to Universal Music (Canada)*/Interscope. With a new album comes a new look, and a fresh start. Keep checking back we'll be keeping you posted as more develops as always.

Quick Update: KC Album News

Are you ready for Chante Season? It's coming... We know you've been anxiously awaiting the new project as we here at LKC, and Marc of Team Chante has informed us and confirmed that the lead single for KC's new album has been opted out from "Hang My Jersey Up" for the song "Test Drive" (Produced by Chris Perry who also did Keshia's smash hit, "Bad Boy"). Hence the little tweet we got from Ms. Chante yesterday. It's also been confirmed that there will be a music video shot for this single!  As far as an album release date? KC & the team are shooting for an early November release. More information will be released as it becomes available to us here at LKC. Keep it locked!
