For the week February 11th, 2011. 'Table Dancer' was at #5  on the MuchMore Countdown. Congrats KC, and nice going #KCRyders! Lets see if we can work even harder this week so that she breaks into the top three!

QUICK NEWS: KC AT NIGHT & DAY SHOOT + NEW SINGLE PENNED BY TAIO CRUZ

Check out the beautiful Ms. Chante on the set of her Night & Day album shoot! Keshia has been doing a lot of finshing touches on her new album these past few weeks. This included rearranging her next two singles & shooting her album cover as well as planning her US takeover which will began in Febuary when her music finally makes its debut on US ITunes! Speaking of which, Keshia has extremely important news to share with her fans this tuesday (Febuary 1st). Also her next singles, (Table Dancer being the 1st) will no longer be the VicPark produced 'Hang My Jersey Up' or Keshia's own favorite & Ustream-debuted 'If U Say'. Her next single was penned by current chart topper Taio Cruz! She also said that the record was inspired by Janet Jackson. All these things make us here at LKC very anxious to hear that new single though. No word on who produced it, but as soon as we find out more news it shall be posted here. Keep it locked KC fans!

QUICK NEWS: KC Shooting 'Night & Day' Cover Today!

Keshia tweeted on last night that today was a huge day for her. Not only will she be shooting more promotional shots, but she will also be shooting the album cover on today! She also gave us insight on the shoot itself saying that photographers Rayan Studios will be shooting the cover and fashion designer Rita Liefhebber will be spearheading the looks for her. Though I've never heard of either, it sounds like an interesting combo. Anticipation for the shoot's outcome is extremely great, and I know all of us here at LKC are wondering just what Keshia has up her sleeve for this shoot. From the sound of things she's going for a high-fashion/couture look. One thing is for certain, Keshia definitely has to nail it with this photo shoot and show her personality just like she did in her photoshoot for Urbanology & Hello magazine a few years back. It'd be great to see her smiling and happy and simply carefree.

Random: Keshia Chante joins Tumblr!

 If you didn't already know our Canadian princess, Ms. Keshia Chante has become the next R&B starlet to join the ever popular Tumblr.com. And yes, it's 100% all Keshia, no frills, just straight up Keshia. As if you didn't see the blogging as enough, we now have yet another way to peek into the life of the songstress on a more personal level. She tweeted yesterday that she was in the studio laying down more vocals. My guess is she probably doing the final touches on her album, and if it's anything like, 'If U Say', 'Table Dancer' and 'Hang My Jersey Up', Ms. Chante has herself a surefire winner. Tumblr is by far the easiest and most second efficient website (the first in my opinion being twitter, of course) to communicate with fans & friends in an instant! If you already have a Tumblr then be sure & follow Keshia. She'll be doing the posting, not the label or anyone else so lets get her follower count up!

Quick News: KC working with producer Craig McConnell

Hey KC fans! I know you all are wondering, "What's taking so long?" "Where's the new single?" "When will the album drop?" Well, KC is still busy working hard on her 3rd studio album slated to be released later on this year. Producer Craig McConnell was called upon to render music for her third album, and above is a picture of them in studio earlier this year. He recently posted on his tumblr page about a week ago that he's about to work with Keshia again. Here's hoping a song of his makes the album. Below you can view a quote from the recent post on his tumblr page:

In the flurry of Film/TV work over the last few months, I haven’t had a lot of time to concentrate on new pop productions, but I’m looking forward to a busy summer of writing. I’m heading to Los Angeles tomorrow for four days of intensive writing with my partner Chad, our friend Taleen and others. When I get home, it looks like I’ll be doing some writing with Keshia Chante and an up-and-coming singer/songwriter named Tyler Wilson. -- Craig on Working with KC again

Quick Update: KC News

Hey KC Fans! Here's some quick news on our Canadian princess from Marc of Team Chante!

• KC is still working hard recording the 3rd Album.
• Expect to hear/see snippets new music from KC in May!
• As far as Ustream, a schedule is being set up so that she can broadcast on the regular and the next broadcast will be recorded for sure! :)
• Regarding the Aaliyah Movie, Marc confirmed, that Keshia was asked to play Aaliyah for a bio-pic on her life by the director/production company. Regardless of whatever you may here elsewhere there is a movie, production on it is slow at the moment.
• She will most likely attend Canada's  Much Music Video Awards this year!
• KC appreciates the reception she received on "Hang My Jersey Up" via Ustream & your support!
• She's working on developing a fragrance line, & a possible small 'young couture' collection.

QUICK NEWS: New KC fragrance in the works!

 Two years ago, KC did an interview with Lainey from ETalk at Calgary Stampede, where she talked about creating a perfume, her then new album 2U, and several other things. You can check out a photo she recently tweeted for the perfume packaging mock-up's below, as well as the video from July of 2007 of her talking about her vision for her first fragrance at the :41 mark. 2010 is shaping up to be pretty awesome, new album & a perfume? Hey KC Fans! For those of you who reside in Canada hopefully you were able to catch KC on Treehouse at Canada's Wonderland tonight @ 6pm! Well worth the watch for the kids! We haven't been updating because news on KC is at a stand still for the moment, but we do have some news for you courtesy of Marc from Team Chante:

• Aaliyah Movie? There is one in the works but that's all we're allowed to say at the moment.
• Unfortunately KC will not be attending the Junos this year.
• KC attending the Much Music Video Awards is more of a possibility.
• Next up KC & the team are working on the new single & its release!
• Expect to hear new music from KC by June or earlier.

Wondering why KC hasn't gone live via a Ustream chat or such yet? Well, there is something very special in the works. Patience is the key with this new project and we don't want to give anything away, but KC & her team are comprising something which will give you an in-depth insight this time around, so keep it locked!
