RANDOM: 'LOVE HARD' LEAK = KESHIA CHANTE?? FALSE!!!

STOP THE PRESSES!!! Whoever is saying or telling you that a song called, 'Love Hard' that recently leaked on the net earlier today via these online sites is truly showing you a falsified disservice. 'Love Hard' is NOT, we repeat NOT Keshia Chante! The above pic a test shot from Keshia's Myspace page from around 2007 is what's been used for these posts so far. So don't be fooled, hoodwinked, swindled, none of that.


After listening to the track, I'm thinking that maybe it's Aleeshia, or some chick that's just trying to garner exposure by using KC's name. Or, maybe it could have possibly been a demo for Night & Day that Keshia never managed to record or did record but this isn't her version of it. However, we're telling you right now that the vocals on this fastly spreading song with Keshia's name attached to it is NOT her. I'm pretty sure you can tell the difference between Keshia's vocals and this chicks from the first few words.

Keshia is one classy lady. And so was Aaliyah. So in retrospect, Aaliyah who carried herself with dignity and class has had more of a legacy since her passing. It is safe to say that "Slow & Steady" wins the race. Just ask the Tortoise & the Hare... Keshia's setting up her career power moves, playing her cards close to her chest. Don't under estimate her staying power just because she isn't all over the media and such right now. The bigger power moves are made behind the scenes. Remember that. RANDOM: Can Keshia Secure her Juno Nominations?

Don't forget KC fans, our girl Keshia is nominate for two, count em' two Juno Awards this year. My best bet is that she'll snag her Juno for Table Dancer. Everyday I see tweets about DJ's and radio hosts spinning Table Dancer on Canadian stations so she's more than likely a shoe-in for that category (Best Dance Recording of the Year). She may as well win her Juno in the R&B category as well, because according to a blogger page I read recently Keshia is the most popular artist in that category. I'm not a bias fan, but I would really love it if Keshia took home both Juno Awards on March 27th. That would definitely do great things for her career wise, and cement her further as an artist in an industry of make-shift and puppet-like counterparts. The one thing that sets Keshia apart from her contemporaries is that, she's thinking on a larger scale as apposed to what sounds hot "right now". It's understandable to me the route that she chose with tracks like 'Set U Free' and 'Table Dancer' sound-wise for Night & Day. At the end of the day, she's gotta eat and the current Euro-Pop/Club/Rave trend in records is what's making paper right now. (See 'Only Girl (In The World), Yeah 3x's, Dynamite) The industry still has a shread of hope left for classic music with songs like 'Test Drive' and 'If You Say' and most definitely, 'Hang My Jersey Up' from Keshia which all have mass appeal. Keshia in my opinion deserves to breach the US Market. Why? Because those three songs, have 'Grammy Nominated' written all over them. And though I'm happy that Keesh got nominated for two Juno's it's about time she reached out to her fans worldwide. Keshia tweeted that we should expect her music to hit US-ITunes in two weeks... Cross your fingers.

Keshia posted this video about about a week ago on her youtube page, as she was on a 5-hour flight from New York to Vancouver. And at that time she was preparing to do two shows for Contiki Eurobash, both of which she recieved rave reviews. You can check out the video below.

THROWBACK: Get To Know You - Belly ft. KC [Fan Made]

When this song came out around the 2008 Junos as a promo single, I decided that I wanted to make a "music video" to it. A few Belly videos, and a splash of Miami from Keshia's video '2U' was the outcome of the fan made music video. Fan Made music videos are normally made when fans want or desire for a song or single for an artist to become a single. The song could be just on the album, or it could be just a song that happened to leak. Either way, I LOVED Keshia's vocals on this song and really wish it would have become a single. So enjoy this little fun video I made. I'm working on a new one as I type this. ~ Cassie

QUICK NEWS: KC takes LA!

Check out this adorable photo of Ms. Keshia aka  'Chante Minnie' at Disneyland today with none other than Minnie Mouse herself!  Fun fact is that Keshia absolutely adores the Disney character Minnie Mouse, and hense the nickname, 'Chante Minnie' among other reasons. lol

This weekend after bringing down the house in Toronto, for Contiki's Eurobash Part II, Keshia flew to the states and divided her time between work and play. On last night she attended an Oscar party and also attended a few Anaheim Ducks games in support of her boyfriend Ray Emery. She just recently met the legendary, Teemu Selianne a fellow team member as well, only hours ago.

Today Keshia revealed via twitter that her official website, after undergoing some extra tweaking and work on her album today, KeshiaChante.Com will finally launch on tomorrow (March 1st, 2011). And, not only that the highly anticipated 2nd single to be lifted from her 3rd album, "Night & Day",  'Set U Free' will finally hit I-Tunes (CA).

Is it possible that 'Set Ur Body Free' could be the song Taio Cruz penned for Keshia? Taio is singing this version and the interesting fact is that it sounds somewhat like Keshia's current Canadian smash, 'Table Dancer'. You can definitely hear the Janet-influence in this record and if this is indeed the single that Keshia will be releasing, she's hit the mark above and beyond because this, with the right promotion (in Canada and overseas of course) will prove to be a chart topping smash for the Canadian princess! We won't post it here on LKC just in case the song IS indeed her new single, but just know that it is indeed something worth the wait!

Random: Keshia Chante joins Tumblr!

 If you didn't already know our Canadian princess, Ms. Keshia Chante has become the next R&B starlet to join the ever popular Tumblr.com. And yes, it's 100% all Keshia, no frills, just straight up Keshia. As if you didn't see the blogging as enough, we now have yet another way to peek into the life of the songstress on a more personal level. She tweeted yesterday that she was in the studio laying down more vocals. My guess is she probably doing the final touches on her album, and if it's anything like, 'If U Say', 'Table Dancer' and 'Hang My Jersey Up', Ms. Chante has herself a surefire winner. Tumblr is by far the easiest and most second efficient website (the first in my opinion being twitter, of course) to communicate with fans & friends in an instant!
