REFLECTION: KC COVERS MICHAEL JACKSON'S "HUMAN NATURE"

Evening #KCRyders! I didn't forget, but shoutout to Albert (@koolkidincash93) for making sure we posted on this! Today marks three years since the greatest entertainer to ever do it, Michael Joseph Jackson, left this earth. Personally I grew up listening to Michael whether it was through the Jackson 5 records or his own solo records all of which I own personally. It's still surreal to me knowing that Michael is gone, but remembering his gentle spirit and his musical legacy always puts a smile on my face.

THROWBACK: KC SINGS "FIND YOUR LOVE" BY DRAKE

Updates are a tad bit slow for the moment, so that being said, here's a trip down memory lane! About two years ago (Fall 2010) KC recorded a beautiful acapella rendition of Drake's "Find Your Love", after a long day of events for TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival). Till this day, she and the Degrassi star, and Young Money rap wonder better known as Aubrey Graham are still great friends. Check out her rendition of the single from Drake's first album "Thank Me Later" below. Enjoy & have a great Saturday!

WATCH: KESHIA CHANTÈ CAMEOS IN CBC'S REMAKE OF "SUNSHINE SKETCHES"

At most KC's camera time in the CBC remake of the 1952 classic, "Sunshine Sketches of A Little Town" equates to all but two-minutes. Thus rightfully labeled a "cameo" not a feature. However Keshia uses her camera time wisely, and you can tell that she's becoming more comfortable as she comes into her own both as an artist and a budding actress.

The day before "Sunshine Sketches" aired I read an article that mentioned exactly what song Keshia would be performing, and after looking it up I was anxious to see just how Keshia would make the song her own. Clearly she does amazing soul-stirring rendition of the Burton Cummings 1977 classic "I'm Scared" and you can watch it below.You can also watch her brief acting clip as well. Hopefully she takes on more acting roles, or cameos it'd be great to see her extend her acting resume.

RANDOM: HAPPY BIRTHDAY AALIYAH!

Today the R&B songstress Aaliyah Dana Haughton would have been 33. Keshia's always sighted Aaliyah as a personal inspiration on of hers musically, and so, thus that being said... In honor of Aaliyah's Birthday on today, watch our girl Keshia cover an Aaliyah Haughton classic, "One In A Million" from the album of the same name. Happy Birthday Aaliyah!

NEW MUSIC: KESHIA CHANTE COVERS AALIYAH'S "ONE IN A MILLION"

BET finally got on board ten years later with a tribute entitled, "25 Days of Aaliyah" leading up to a special that airs tonight at 8pm. And, our girl Keshia who promised us that she'd record and do some live covers of us, Keshia decided to pay special tribute to Aaliyah, and do her own cover of Aaliyah's "One In A Million". Her vocals are pure, honest, flawless. Check out her rendition below and if you'd like you can download below it too.
