After a 4-5 year hiatus, Keshia Chante has returned to the music scene with her 3rd album, "Night And Day" the follow up to her sophomore album '2U'. Listeners will be taken on a journey of what Keshia's experienced during her 4 year hiatus, from love and loss, and coming into her own. REMINDER: NIGHT + DAY ALBUM RELEASE FACEBOOK PARTY NOV 8TH!
We made 500 attendees for the upcoming "Night + Day" virtual facebook album release party this week which unlocked for us new music, photos and a message from KC. But the work doesn't stop there #KCRyders! Keep inviting people! Lets see if we can get to 11, 811 attendees in honor of Night + Day's official release! We managed to get to 500 in a little less than two weeks, so if we work together, we can pull this off too! Keep inviting + encouraging more people to come!

ALBUM NEWS: KC'S 4TH SINGLE TO BE "EDIT CUT & DELETE U"
As we've all seen this era, there is a good possibility of a single change. We went from Hang My Jersey Up + Table Dancer being the first singles, to Table Dancer + Test Drive. We went from Set U Free and If U Say being the follow up singles to the first single, to Set U Free and Shooting Star. And now, according Universal Music Canada's random and once in a blue moon post on our girl, Keshia's 4th single in spite of the heavily fan requested (via Twitter + Facebook) "Hang My Jersey Up" is... "Edit, Cut, + Delete U".
Don't get me wrong, I love dance, electro & rock music as much as the next person, and granted yes that's in high demand right now. But if you look at artists like Adele, Monica, ect... R&B is still selling and well might I add. The the R&B version/Pop of KC is what made me a fan and devoted supporter. The fact that KC can still sound amazing with only an acoustic guitar as a backing instrument and her Aaliyah cover are just several pieces of proof that give her merit that she's R&B oriented. And further more the fact that she won her first ever Juno Award in the R+B/Soul Category for her first self-titled album is proof enough that R+B is Keshia. Keshia's R+B is ultimately what generates her fans excitement. It's not just me that feels this way of course, because I've seen tweets and facebook posts on her wall from #KCRyders wanting the 'R+B' KC back. We still have yet to get an honest R+B song as a single without it being switched out for something laden with a heavy guitar rift or electro pop.

Earlier this afternoon after several days of persistant #KCRyders promoting a virtual Facebook Album Release Party, Keshia Chante offically revealed to her fans the above album cover for her 3rd Album, "Night + Day", which hits shelves Novemeber 8th! Also, she introduced 4 new tracks, a funky number "Edit, Cut, + Delete U", the sensual and hard hitting "Hang My Jersey Up" (Which she previewed in her first Ustream back in 2010), along with two amazing ballads "I Miss U", and "Pillow Talk". RANDOM: KESHIA CHANTE'S NIGHT + DAY ALBUM COVER LEAKED!!!
Yep, this much is true. For those of you that have been RSVPing to the KC Countdown for the Virtual Facebook Album Release party for Keshia Chante's "Night And Day" due out November 8th of this year; it's out! One overzealous reciever of an early copy of the album decided to tweet a photo of the mini-pack that she recieved from Keshia. If you want to wait to see the album cover, then we suggest that you don't look, however if your curiosity has gotten the best of you, feel free to read on to view the very lackluster album cover.

Update: According to KC's recently updated twitter bio, "Night And Day" will be released worldwide in stores as well as on I-Tunes, on November 8th, 2011.
Hey #KCRyders! We told you what you were waiting for was coming soon! And finally, the wait is over! Keshia Chante took to her twitter ad Facebook a mere hour or so ago to announce the release date of her highly anticipated 3rd album, "Night And Day" which is officially scheduled to drop Tuesday Nov 8th, 2011!!! Leading up to the exciting day, you can join the countdown with other fellow #KCRyders on Keshia's official website: www.keshiachante.com/countdown Once 500 attendees are confirmed you'll be able to unlock new music, photos and a special video. Also by confirming your attendance you'll be entered into a drawing for a prize pack which includes a custom-made bracelet by Keshia, a autographed plaque mount and a Skype Chat. KC QUICK NEWS #6: N&D NEWS, SHOOTING STAR UPDATES, & BET
We've been on the quiet side because all has been silent in KC-ville but a recent break in silence finally provided us with much needed updates of which you can check out below. The most important of those being Keshia's new album Night & Day AND the video she recently shot for her newest single entitled, "Shooting Star" read on below to find out the scoop:
Night & Day Update
We honestly feel your pain when it comes to waiting for Keshia's album #KCRyders and we here at LKC know just how much you're anticipating it. If you've recently read KC's What Women Want interview that Keshia both tweeted & posted about on her Facebook & Twitter page that was posted August 14th, you'll find that at the end of this posed question: Take us along the path (personal & professional) that took you where you are today. That Keshia states her album will be dropping next year. According to her Team Keshia, the next year that Keshia is speaking of in her interview is 2011. Team Keshia informed us that the What Women Want Interview took place in November of 2010, not recently as assumed. Interesting enough, Keshia's team also told us at LKC that Keshia's album is scheduled to sometime drop this fall. But we can't reveal the release date yet, so sit tight.
Shooting Star Updates
In anticipation for the release of her new single, Keshia posted two screen caps from her newest music video "Shooting Star" on her official Facebook page and Twitter. The music video is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday August 23rd, 2011. She also tweeted that Shooting Star was sent to Canadian radio yesterday (August 19).
KC on BET?
For those of you that have been diligently tweeting the VEVO link for KC's "Set U Free" video to BET, GMA and other news and video outlets it's been greatly appreciated. According to a recent tweet by Keshia, they've handed in a music video, no word on which music video it was they sent to BET, but the fact that through your hard work, we as #KCRyders have nearly accomplished a common goal, which is to help KC break into the US market with a bang! Keep up the great work on tweeting BET, GMA, Today Show, Centric VH1, and MTV, we wanna see Ms. Keshia everywhere!

INTERVIEW: Virgin Radio 96
Hey KC Fans! I hope that you all are having a good Saturday morning and we have something special for Ryders outside Montreal. As you can see, our girl has been ripping and running with interviews from left to right all day yesterday leading up to her performance at La Mouche. She was interviewed by Cousin Vinny (@CousinVinnyMTL) and talked about Montreal, Night & Day's release, the hiatus, Set U Free and the 4 a.m. tweet, lol. Keshia also discussed the Aaliyah movie project for a bit and talked about how Aaliyah's family and people that knew her are still coping with the passing but like she said in the first Ustream "When the time is right." she will be apart of it. Vinny also put KC's French-speaking skills to the test and she excelled plus because she loves Montreal she is working on a French version of her new single "Set U Free". KC QUICK NEWS: Video for 'Set U Free' to be shot in TWO WEEKS!
Keshia tweeted a little more than an hour ago, about the video for her current single, "Set U Free". VIDEO: Spring It On Performance

I hope that you all are having an awesome weekend and for those of you who were not able to get to attend the Spring It On Event this past Friday, NO FEAR! One of the many performances by our girl has surfaced online via YouTube. Keshia performs 'Let the Music Take You' and 'Fallen' in this video and gives fellow Canadian artist and good friend, Drake a shout-out before performing 'Fallen'. Us here at LKC are LOVING the old-school and raw R&B vibe from these performances and don't forget to thank Sabrina for the HQ performance. In the mean time, peep the clip!

WATCH: KC Interview with Cash Conners of Kiss 92.5 Toronto!

This interview comes in three parts! From the sound of things, this interview was done yesterday. KC and Cash talk about everything from Spring It On, that takes place tonight, The new album Night & Day and who inspired it. (She mentions fellow Canadian artist Alanis Morisette's Jagged Little Pill. Which I LOVE! Ex: Ironic, You Oughta Know... Hand In Pocket... ect) Keshia also says that's she's now shooting for a Late Spring- Early Summer release. She hopes to release the album in June of this year. And according to Cash who's right on time with his info, in coincides with another event in Keshia life too... (No it's not her birthday! Lol You'll have to watch to see!) She also speaks a little on her love life and relationship with hockey goal-tender Ray Emery and how they met too. The interview is quite the informative and and sassy one!
