A big thanks to Linda for catching this clip on ET Canada last night. Check out Ms. Keshia chatting it up along with other Juno Award (2011) Nominees at the Juno Awards Press Conference with none other than ET Canada. Briefly you'll see her announce Drake's album 'Thank Me Later' as one of the nominee's for Album Of The Year and she also speaks about how pumped and excited she is for having scored two Juno Noms! Whether you're busy 'Table Dancing' or taking a 'Test Drive' with that new relationship, Keshia Chanté has created songs of the like to get you moving just the same! With a brand-new outlook on life, a new album, and philanthropic work under her belt, 2010 couldn't have been anything less than amazing for Canadian R&B Princess, Keshia Chanté. And right now as we speak, 2011 is shaping up to be even better! We recently had the pleasure of interviewing the starlet Post-Toronto Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011, as she graciously took time out to answer some of the questions that have been tweeted and emailed to us via KC's amazing fans. Keshia eloquently breaks down her upcoming album, "Night & Day" (due out Spring/Summer of this year) and the process it took to record it, acting and what it means to her. She also shares a few of her favorite things, puts "Aaliyah Movie" rumors to rest and speaks what she plans on doing in the future. This is our account on said interview, done in a manuscript form via email. We will be posting the interview in three sections. Enjoy!

Why the long musical hiatus? - Anon

Keshia Chanté: I needed time to figure stuff out musically. Behind the scenes, the music industry can be quite crazy, more than people can understand, and it's easy to get lost or pushed around. I took time out to be creative, work with as many people as possible and figure out what I wanted to say. It's tough enough being a teenager, even harder being in an aggressive adult world 24/7, I had to grow up and get time to learn about me first. We had been going non-stop since I was 13, balancing schooling, career, and traveling. I needed a moment to find myself creatively and step it up vocally. I also wanted more control creatively so I wanted to find a way to have that freedom. Tanjola (my management/brand management team) found a way to make that possible!

What are your views on the current state of the entertainment industry?
KC: The music industry is no different from other businesses, they all go through transitions throughout the years. My view - artists need to be their own labels. Don't have any expectations from record labels other than manufacturing the product and placing it into stores. I have gotten lucky with Universal Canada, because they are ALL about the creative artist and how to make it work but majority of labels are not that way. Universal Canada is very forward thinking in that regard. Bottom line though, make good music and spread virally, tour different cities & effect the lives of people in a positive way with your music, and everything will work out.

INTERVIEW: City Life TV Interviews Keshia @ LGFW's 'OR' Show.

 Check out this recent interview of Canadian songstress & budding fashionista Keshia Chante on the red carpet for LG Fashion Week S/S 2011. She was interviewed by CityLifeTV at the Angela Chen' 'OR' fashion show of which she was wearing a piece from the collection. You can check out her interview below, her views on Canadian fashion, and how she pushes the American collaborators she works with to use Canadian fashion in her videos. She also speaks on her new single, saying that, an item that she'd spotted inspired her to write the song 'Table Dancer' for her upcoming album Night & Day. 'Table Dancer' has a set release date, and premiere, we just don't know as to what that is just yet. Hopefully we will soon, and when we do, you all will be the first to know. We told you all that once it aired we'd do our best to get it up, and it finally did!Make sure you send Linda love on twitter for uploading this! The interview itself is highly brief highlighting three main things, the video, KC's new bf Ray Emery, and her anticipated 'comeback'. She didn't talk about the album (Night & Day) too much, but given that the interview was only a minute and a half nobody can really squeeze in enough info on their album and new love interest at the same time. We were the first to break to you the news about Keshia's upcoming album entitled, 'Night + Day' and Keshia spoke to Sway Magazine about a lot of things that you can expect from her new album. “It’s pretty much my diary; it’s all very personal stuff,” says Chanté of her new album, Night & Day, slated for release in Spring 2011. Known for dance pop and romantic ballads, Chanté’s upcoming release is a dual disk that includes her well known signature sound, along with new organic elements that display her evolution as an artist.

The first official single and video is “Table Dancer,” but a video for “Test Drive” will also be released virally at the same time. “It’s a singles world and I’d like to release three singles in a row, work them hard and see what comes back before I get into working the full album. We’ll see how it goes.”

 The ever-present Drake connection can be speculated with “Dead to Me,” but Chanté denies that it’s about him. “Oh no,” she says. “Drake is very dear to me and remains a good friend. We’re steadily in touch but given our schedules, don’t actually meet up that much.” Chanté indicates the scheduling problem was part of the issue in forming a relationship with Drake when the pair started dating as 15-year-olds. “It was more like puppy love. We tried to have a relationship but the timing wasn’t the best. Plus, we were so young. It’s probably for the best we didn’t have a serious relationship back then.”

ETalk caught up with KC on set of her new music video for 'Test Drive' this clip is insanely short,  but at least if you are a KC fan outside of Canada you'll be able to view it. KC's clip is from 1:21-1:42 in which she speaks briefly about the album, her new bf, Canadian NHL Goalie Ray Emery who plays her love interest in the video and the song 'Test Drive' itself.
