Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year from all of us here at the Luv-KC Family!
#KCStreetTeamMember - Music Addict Jane suggests:
"Philippino lumpia or spring rolls. They are always a fan hit. Even Porcetta... serve any kind of cupcakes or cake (specifically red velvet, hard to find: try a Italian bakery of some kind)"
You can follow Jane on twitter @MusicAddictJane
#TeamLKC Member - Albert suggests:
"Thought that I would give you all a "kool" dish/recipe for the holidays. It is a family dish from my Mama Ryder's side of the family, since she's from New Orleans. It is called the "Wiggy" Ham!

We've got some more exclusive KC footage for you #KCRyders! Jane was able to get a clip of KC's soundcheck at BCC Grand Opening in Brampton with her new single 'Set U Free' as well as recording the entire 16-minute concert segment for you to watch as well. She performed a melody of her biggest hits including, 'Bad Boy' and 'Been Gone' as well as new music such as 'Table Dancer' and 'Set U Free'. She really got the crowd engaged during her entire set! You can view the high octane performance below as well as read Jane's review of the event.

KC @ BCC Concert Review by @MusicAddictJane
So it is about 4pm when I arrive to Bramalee City Centre. I killed time after my arrival waiting for the show to start. At the time of my arrival I go and search to go find my passes in my name. After that brief process of that I hear Keshia Chante do her soundcheck for Set U Free. I had no idea she started so I ran to record it. Of course very excited by the sound of her short soundcheck I ran to record it. After her few short minutes of her soundcheck and her satisfaction of how she sounded she gave her mic to her band and took off with a security guard around her. I just looked on and the thought was to chase her down, but I missed out.
A few minutes later minutes after missing out, I return to the stage to see Danny Fernandes go on for almost a hour to do his soundcheck and in the process interacts with the crowd during that time and he gets the sound man to fix his sound with his mic and his house beat. The songs he sound checks were Automatic, Take Me Away & Addicted a couple of times before the actual performance and I briefly leave to go and get my friend.
By around close to 6pm, I arrive with my friend and we go wait by the stage and walk around before we approach the line to see Danny Fernandes a little 6:30pm as the line builds up more and more to see and get a picture with him for about 2 hours, I notice that Keshia's line was shorter so I had my friend wait for me while I decided to take pics of Ms. Chante.
I look on ward as the line for Danny Fernandes not moving so I decide to see if Keshia Chante would recognize me eventually and she did. After taking a few pictures of Ms. Chante with her fans in line and passes, we talked briefly and I waved after to rejoin the Danny Fernandes line. Within that time period still he wasn't around so I went back to take more pics of Ms. Chante and got her a little distracted to get her to pose in some of the pictures I was taking of her and other pics she was involved in. When she saw me again, I let her know that I was taking pics of her not just for the fansite; as well as, SNAP Brampton.
After a little chit chat and waving another goodbye to her performance, I rejoined the line and my friend for just a picture with Danny Fernandes and that was a close to 8pm. After a long wait, me and my friend got one pic with him from my camera as well as the Bramalee City Centre site. We later rejoin the huge crowd for the performance that took up the whole malls two floors.
By around after a little after 8pm with introductions and speeches, the show finally happens. Rick Campanelli introduces him and during his set he performs Automatic, Fantasy, Take Me Away, Addicted and another song which I believe is Private Dancer for a little more than half a hour. When he finished his set completely he cleaned himself with a towel and had one of his dancers pass him another towel to clean his sweat on his shirt and his head, while having a short conversation with Rick Campanelli, with some of his family in attendance.
Later in that time frame Rick introduces Keshia Chante for her performance. Her band comes on to the stage and plays her Keshia Chante intro before she comes on stage. As the music is playing we hear Keshia greeting the crowd at BCC and I try to get close but I was too far at first, but eventually get closer. Her set performance started with 2U, then the set worked through with songs like Table Dancer, Bad Boy, Set U Free and Been Gone. The crowd got into it and was loving her interaction. She had a lot of front audience members going crazy and I was in the midst of it all. She worked the stage of every song she performed. When she completed her songs, thank the crowd and hopped walked off the stage with her band playing on. After she left, Rick wanted to ask her some questions and speak to her but she was gone.
Just when I thought the show was done Danny Fernandes rejoined the stage with Tyler Medeiros performs "Girlfriend" a few minutes later and luckily I didn't leave. After that me and my friend goes to shop and I wait around cause I wanted to see if there was a chance to get more pictures, but my luck ran out so I wait around. I hang around as luck as I can to see if Keshia come out and she does but I wasn't quick enough to get close or speak to her as she was taken into the VIP area & people after the mall closed get a second opportunity to those who had their passes still with Keshia Chante and I think Danny Fernandes.
In the end, a great night to a eventful day. I loved being part of the bull attending audience. Another wonderful performance by Keshia Chante and a great danceful performance by Danny Fernandes.

Double dose of Keshia Chanté in one weekend, you ask? Why, yes, #It’sAChantéThing of course…
12:45 am Friday April 15th 2011 Club La Mouche in Montreal.
Club is at full capacity with the trendy and dance hungry early-20’s crowd, awaiting Miss Chanté’s anticipated performance. A few moments later, the music has transitioned smoothly from DJ to live session to the tune of Table Dancer when Keshia comes onto the stage bursting with energy and smiles for all, flanked by two very accomplished Canadian musicians : Hill Kourkoutis on bass and Adrian Eccleston on guitar. Suddenly realization dawns : we’ve all watched her grow into this incredible woman with so much potential musically. It is finally being noticed and I can’t help but smile and be proud. All these years of working hard and the wait is so worth it . The stage is her home: home is where her heart definitely is and it SHOWS. Combine her natural stage presence, complicity with her bandmates, matured vocal range and a pure sense of fun and it makes for one great performance. The trio goes into a medley of Does He Love Me/2U/Bad Boy “where my bad boys at in this club tonight?”/Been Gone and completes the set with the latest hit Set U Free (which you ALL must check out live, it is such a great track)
KC taking the stage, with her signature white mic , glitter shorts & 4in heels. As a shoe addict, I could not help but take a closer look, see snapshot below:

11:45 pm , April 16th Rhythm Nation 2011 at Théâtre Plaza in Montreal.
Rainy Saturday night and most people are watching NHL Playoffs Mtl-Boston series, the old converted Théâtre Plaza is filled with a more seasoned, varied crowd waiting to be blown away by quite the selection of local RNB artists: Leila, Randy Raymond, Sandy Duperval, Marco Volcy, and Jacynthe (to name a few) are bringing fire to the stage in their own distinct way, leading up to the last but certainly not the least performance of the evening by special guest Keshia Chanté. Loud cheers are heard at the mention that she is indeed “IN DA HOUSEEEEEE!” On a wider stage, and showing off a gorgeous designer dress by Montreal’s own Coccolily, hops and skips a classy Keshia: never oversexed but always sexy in good taste, she delights the crowd again. She has reached a maturity and confidence in that sense and has managed to stray away from the industry pull. She shows that she has achieved a control of her business and that confidence is definitely refreshing. Tonight, full versions of Table Dancer, 2U, Bad Boy and Set U Free are on the set list. (Have I mentioned how good Set U Free is live?? That bass heavy bridge goes in!!)
KC promo in your town? Strongly suggest you indulge.
Until then , you can check her out here and show your #KCRyder love:
