FAN FEATURE: KC MEGAMIX VIA #KCRyder Mike (@MikeSampsonFlow)

Hey #KCRyders! Here's something for #ThrowbackThursday! Since all is quiet in KC-ville, I needed some "working" music, and so for the first time today, I checked out fellow #KCRyder Mike's Keshia Chanté Megamix and was blown away!

If there was a radio station that simply played only KC, then this is what it would sound like.

For those of you who haven't heard it you should check it out! It's an awesome mix of all your favorite old-school KC songs from herself titled album "Keshia Chanté" & her sophomore album "2U" right at your fingertips!

Huge shoutout to Mike for putting this together! From one #KCRyder to another it's truly appreciated!
Be sure and Tweet Mike (@MikeSampsonFlow) know what you think as well #Ryders

We told you once the footage was available we'd post and thanks to our amazing team member and LKC Media Guru - Linda (@miuseem) we have it here for you! So enjoy as Keshia and her full band and dancers take you on a trip back down memory lane of her career performing her biggest hits like, Table Dancer, 2U,  and of course the crossover hits Been Gone and Bad Boy.

KC Performs at ET Canada NYE Part 2

My verdict:

It had me hooked from the first little intro which was cute! To those of you who, like I have never seen KC live, this will be a teaser for her upcoming tour. The production itself is massive! Keshia clearly amps up her overall performance and pulled out some stops this go round.
The great things about this performance:
  1.  Ambiance + set up. Four background dancers and a full band? Dancing while singing? I mean, really dancing like she used to dance in the era of her first album "Keshia Chante" type dancing. This was exactly what we were hoping for and that's exactly what we get!
  2. Keshia is being herself. She's not trying to be like any of her industry contemporaries which also deserves another plus.
  3. Then there is the fact that even though she could have performed more songs from her new album Night + Day and didn't, Keshia still manages to stay in control of her voice as she dances which is another plus and not to mention she sang her tiny little butt off!
So of course this performance was pretty much perfection to me. By now you should know that I don't say what I don't mean! lol Great job KC, band and dancers!

THROWBACK - 2U EDITION: '2U' DIARY "MAKING THE ALBUM"

What goes into making an album, such as that cd image you see above? Well, Keshia takes you behind the scenes of the making of her second album, '2U' via Yahoo Music Canada, as she finishes recording the final two tracks. You can watch the footage below.

THROWBACK - 2U EDITION: '2U' MUSIC VIDEO & MUCH INTERVIEW

This was Keshia's second single to be lifted from her sophomore album 2U, and the last of her singles to have a video. '2U' the album's title track, was shot in Miami, Florida under the direction of video director Bobby O'Neill, (who also directed the music video for Night & Day's, 'Test Drive'). Check out some an interview on '2U''s release date at Much courtesy of ChanteFansTV and also view the music video below.

THROWBACK - 2U EDITION : DIZZ CALLING THE RAIN @ BEEN GONE VIDEO SHOOT

This by far is one of the most hilarious of the '2U Edition' throwback videos you'll see today. Check out one of Keshia's former dancers, now of Canadian group Reverse, Dizz, talking about the demands made of him at KC's Been Gone video shoot. (If you look closely you can spot him getting it in during the cafeteria scene at Fletcher Meadows, where the Been Gone video was shot, and it's also the place where Keshia went & graduated high school with top honors! Pow!)

RANDOM: HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY TO '2U'!

Good Morning #KCRyders! Today is a very special day! Keshia Chante's second album '2U' turns 5 today!!! Wow! Where has the time gone? In honor of celebrating the release of Keshia's 2nd album we're taking you back in time through memory lane for some of the highlights of the 2U era. This was Keshia's final album to be released under the Sony BMG umbrella, before she parted ways, and moved to Universal Music Canada + Tanjola where she currently resides as a recording artist.

'2U's TV Commercial'

SN: This commercial proves why Keshia's logo this era should be her permanent logo in my opinion. Look at how crisp, and clean and personal it looks. Kinda like she wrote it.

A promo single from this album, "Ring The Alarm" was released for WarChild's Keep The Beat Alive Charity Campaign, as a promotional single. The first single that initially kicked off Keshia's second album began with  single of epic proportions was entitled 'Been Gone'. Which was followed by the summery vibe title track, '2U', and lastly, 'Fallen ft. Freeway' which unfortunately never received a video. We'll be giving you some background information on singles and and videos and posting up some memorable '2U' era moments as well! There will be more pop-up posts throughout the day to get you in the celebratory mood!

"2U" was supposed to be Keshia's first worldwide album release, however it was only released in May 2007 Japan. Japan was entreated with an alternate cover and several 'bonus' tracks that were actually KC's hugest hits from her first self-titled album 'Keshia Chante' you can view the cover for the album below.

WATCH: KC Live @Contiki Eurobash Event

Submitted by Albert (@koolkidincash93)

Get ready to have a jam session with Keshia! Keshia's performance at Contiki's Eurobash has surfaced and Keshia knocked this performance out of the park! You've seen tweets from Contiki (Canada) and even The Broken Heel Diaries about how outstanding and amazing Keshia did, now you can see for yourself. With a rousing introduction by her childhood mentor, singer/songwriter Shawn Desmond (Does He Love Me, Spinnin'), the ever poise and classy Keshia Chanté commands and captivates her audience from the moment she sets foot on the stage. With live band in tow, Keshia elegantly and effortlessly breezes through some of her past hits (Been Gone, 2U, Bad Boy), and her new chart topper 'Table Dancer'! For the first time ever, Keshia also performs her new single "Set U Free" taking her dancing skills up yet another notch. She even goes so far as to bring her band members to the forefront and gets the audience involved in a little sing-a-long. It's safe to say, Ms Chanté is all grown up now! Are you ready for the takeover? Night & Day is due out this spring, stay tuned because tomorrow is Round 2 of Keshia's Contiki performances, in Vancouver. Enjoy the full twenty-minute set below in LQ!
