KC sited on her Ustream that Aaliyah definitely inspired her as an artist. Today marks the 9th year of the anniversary of her death. There have been talks of a movie in tribute to her life for the last few years, but none has come to fruition as of yet. KC has been in talks to play her, but still no word yet. Today is the day we celebrate the life & legacy of the outstanding and amazing artist known as Aaliyah.
