#TBT: KESHIA CHANTE COVERS DOPENESS MAGAZINE (ISSUE 11 -2014)






Morning #KCRyders! Here's a colorful spring-time throwback for you. KC on the cover of Dopeness Magazine. She debuted the dual cover with her then co-host of 106 + Park back in 2014 at the BET Experience. In the interview she talks about how she started her career, and how she adjusted to hosting for 106+Park. She also talks about her style influences and what can be expected from her in the future. Evening #KCRyders! For those of you who were unable to attend Jambana Festival 2015 we've got you covered! Keshia appeared as a guest performer alongside Exco Levi. They performed several reggae classics including 'Turn Your Lights Down Low' (You might remember the 1977 Bob Marley classic from when Lauryn Hill performed it for the Brown Sugar soundtrack back in 1999). Below you can view a few of the photos from the event as well as a clip of Keshia Chante performing TYLDL via Jambana Festival's official instagram.

KC was 16 when she shot this video.
"Does He Love Me"  was the fourth single from her 2004 self-titled Gold debut album, "Keshia Chante". It features, Foxy Brown and this album version, is a lot different than the one used in the video. In the video version, Foxy's verse is omitted, and Keshia does the bridge twice. Keshia also won a 2004 Urban Music Award, for Video of the Year with this song. It was directed by Lil X, who also directed her videos, "Bad Boy" and "Been Gone" for her Sophomore album 2U.
